Before his current role at Houlihan Lokey, Vincent Egunlae worked as a highly qualified accountant specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions at Grant Thornton UK LLP. He has been recognised as one of the 'Top Ten Black Icons in Accounting & Finance' in 2023and featured in the EMPower/Yahoo/YouTube Top 100 Future Leaders from 2020 to 2023.
In 2022, Vincent was awarded the #1 Rising Star at the Black British Business Awards and was a finalist in the Black Talent Awards. At Grant Thornton, he earned the 'Go Beyond’ Emerging International Leader distinction among 140+ global firms. Additionally, Vincent was 'Highly Commended' in the 'Rising Star' category at the 2020 Social Mobility Awards and named a Top 10 Future Leader at the Ethnicity Awards in 2020 and 2021.
Vincent co-founded the Ethnicity Network at Grant Thornton to enhance representation and address the Ethnicity pay gap. As a co-founder of The Open Private School, a charity focused on providing state school students with mentorship opportunities, and a Non-Executive Director at Capital City College Group, Vincent offers strategic oversight and guidance. An ambassador for One Young World, Vincent is dedicated to achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goal #8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by 2030. Formerly, he served as Director of the Chartered Accountants Student Society for London, supporting over 5,000 ICAEW students.
